Wealth, Worth, and Relationship: Navigating Money, Transparency, & Shared Resources with Care
In this session, we explore the skills of undefended love that help us move from defensive, reactive patterns into honest, openhearted connections. You’ll learn how curiosity, deep listening, and staying present with “two realities” can transform even difficult conversations into moments of clarity and closeness.
Money is one of the most common sources of tension in intimate relationships. Right alongside sex, it is one of the least openly discussed.
Finances carry stories, beliefs, fears, and personal histories. For some people, money represents security and stability. For others, it represents freedom, power, or self-worth. When two people come together, these invisible meanings can quietly—and sometimes not so quietly—collide.
We’ll explore:
- the personal money stories we carry
- how financial triggers show up in a relationship
- transparency, trust, and shared decision-making
- navigating differences in earning, spending, and risk tolerance
- the balance between personal sovereignty and shared resources
